Solid State Physics: Size Effects and Quantum Phenomena

published

in Vorlesung and WS 2023

Contents

The goal is to gain an experimental and theoretical insight into methods of modern physics, and an understanding of the principles of modern materials and their use in new products.

Requirements

Knowledge of solid-state physics, quantum mechanics, experimental and computational techniques at bachelor level.

More courses

Here are a couple more courses for you to enjoy. If that’s not enough, have a look at the full list.

  1. Lab Exercises 1: Mechanics and Thermodynamics

Acquiring skills in experimental techniques - mechanics. After this lab, the students should be able to independently use and explain the used instruments and systems and to analyze and interpret the results and uncertainties of the measurements.

  2. Exercises Physics 2 for USW (Electrodynamics, Optics)

Simple physical problems are formulated and solved interactively. The topics are chosen parallel to the lecture Physics 2, therefore topics are electrodynamics and optics.
